As we mentioned in a previous article, the first Psycho Pass movie belonging to the Sinners of the System trilogy was released in Japanese theaters last week and the reaction of the fans was not long in coming.
During the last weekend, the movie Psycho-Pass Sinners of the System Case 1: Tsumi to Batsu (Crime and Punishment) managed to raise 247.8 million yen. Analysis firm Kogyo Tsushinsha has reported that the film was the fourth highest grossing of the weekend according to Anime News Network.
Also it is necessary to mention that the trilogy will have adaptations to manga drawn by Natsuo Sai which are released on the same day as their respective film. This means that the manga adaptation of the first film is already on sale for fans to enjoy.
For now the dates still remain. Therefore the second Psycho-Pass movie SS Case 2 First Guardian will be released on February 15, while for March 8 will be released the third movie entitled Psycho-Pass SS Case 3 Onshuu no Kanata ni (On the other side of love and the hate). All this of course in Japanese cinemas.
Psycho Pass is a dystopian science fiction story where machines determine the possibility of committing crimes by a person. However, as we enter the story it becomes much more interesting due to its atmosphere of mystery, suspense and gore. If you have not seen the anime yet, I really recommend it, I guarantee you will not regret it. For me it is without a doubt one of my favorites.
