Some of the best halo books (Anniversary No. 17 of Halo)

Some of the best books of the Halo saga
It's been 17 years since the release of the first videogame of the Halo saga, I invite you to read some books related to this incredible fictional universe.

I remember when I played Halo: Combat Evolved for the first time, in fact it is one of the most played games during my childhood, along with other greats such as Starcraft or Half Life, and when something you love you remember for a lifetime and you become a unconditional fan of the saga regardless the good (or bad) changes he had throughout his career, video games such as Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo Wars 2 or Halo 5 are examples of this.

All this arose on November 15, 2001, when Halo Combat Evolved went on sale, it is incredible the impact over time that Master Chief had in the video game industry and in the millions and millions of fans that this Microsoft franchise has.

Therefore since I am an avowed fan of the Halo saga, and one of my hobbies is reading fiction, I will recommend some books based on the saga:

Halo: The Fall of Reach (Eric Nylund)

Of course, we could not talk about halo books without starting with the one considered by many, the best of all, this book tells the events related to the fall of the planet Reach at the hands of the Covenant and also has adaptations in miniseries and comics. In fact it had been thought of adapting it to film but for reasons of budget and disagreements is an idea that unfortunately did not come true.

Halo: The Flood (Willian C. Dietz)

This book is an adaptation of the events we witnessed in the videogame Halo: Combat Evolved. It also has events not presented in the video game (of course, it would be boring to read the book if you already know 100% of the story through a video game)

Halo: Evolutions (Several Authors)

This book contains several stories belonging to the universe of halo, written by several authors including those recognized in the saga as Tobias S. Buckell, Eric Nylund and Frank O’Connor.

Halo: Helljumper (Peter David)

There are five comics published by Marvel Comics, written by Peter David and illustrated by Eric Nguyen. It tells the story of two ODST soldiers, better known as Helljumpers during a mission on an agricultural planet recently besieged by the Covenant. However things start to get complicated.

Halo: Encyclopedia

It is a guide on the Halo Universe published by Dorling Kindersley. The book has a prologue written by Frank O’Connor and the edition of Tobias Buckell. The book has specifications of various materials found in the Halo Universe.

These are some of the few books that I recommend for start, I must clarify that there are many more but for that you obviously must be more familiar with the saga.

Meanwhile, let’s enjoy many more years of everything that this saga has to offer us. (like the TV series in production)
